Chef Charity Morgan makes her cookbook debut with “Unbelievably Vegan: 100+ bold, life changing,
plant-based recipes.”

 

Without life there is nothing, and there is nothing without life! It's as simple as that, and Chef Charity Morgan is helping people live their best lives through a plant-based culinary journey. Chef Charity holds a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and is extremely passionate about health, nutrition, and offering a more panoramic view of what it means to live a plant-based lifestyle.

Although Chef Charity Morgan has well over 15 years of experience, her calling to become a plant-based chef came as a result of her family’s own transition to a plant-based diet. That transition, paired with her affinity for cooking and being creative, were the driving forces that propelled her to become a plant-based, vegan, and transitional chef. As a lover of food and self-proclaimed foodie, her goal is to assist people in making an easy transition from animal products to well-balanced plant-based meals. She does this by providing nutrient-rich, savory, and easy-to-follow recipes while educating about the benefits an organic, non-gmo, plant-based lifestyle can have on the body and overall wellbeing.

Chef Charity Morgan is most certainly more than a chef, as the many professional athletes and celebrities she has cooked for will attest. Chef Charity Morgan provides vegan meal preparation to several NFL players, and celebrities across the board. She is also known for single handedly catering a 100% plant-based menu for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s intimate Nashville wedding. Chef Charity Morgan has been featured in several media outlets including ESPN, Sports USA Today, NFL Network, and The London Times just to name a few, highlighting her awesome homemade meals that have encouraged professional athletes to educate themselves, improve their athletic performance and their overall health.

This work later spawned into Chef Charity Morgan being featured in The Game Changers movie, an award-winning documentary produced by James Cameron and directed by Oscar-Winner Louie Psihoyos. The Game Changers went on to be the biggest selling documentary of all time on iTunes and has reached millions of viewers since its release on Netflix. After seeing Chef Charity Morgan in the movie, viewers walked away saying “Chef Charity Morgan stole the show”. Her bubbly personality and on-screen presence accompanied by the presentation of a mouthwatering spread of a few of her signature dishes, left an audience of millions wanting more. Chef Charity Morgan is extremely enthusiastic about sharing her culinary expertise with the world. Her dedication to a plant-based lifestyle, healthy living and nutrition paired with her commitment to food provide her with the unwavering desire and passion to teach and bring happy and healthy families to the table.

In an effort to compassionately support people interested in transitioning to a plant-based diet, Chef Charity Morgan coined the word Plegan™️ to allow people to feel affirmed in their food choices. Chef Charity Morgan’s new approach is one that is warm, inclusive and very refreshing as she believes compassion starts with people.

BEING PLEGAN IS THE NON-JUDGEMENTAL PROMOTION OF CONTINUAL EDUCATION AND EVOLUTION. THE TERM IS AN INCLUSIVE SPACE FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE A PLANT BASED DIET, BUT IT’S ALSO A NON-EXCLUSIONARY TERM FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL GROWING THEIR AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS. COMPASSION STARTS WITH HUMANITY. THIS IS AN EXPRESSION OF COMMITMENT TO LOVE BEYOND OURSELVES.

CREATIVITY.

Food is a form of art. I’m constantly trying new things, tweaking recipes, and reinventing the same dish to make it better than the last version. It’s essential to have fun in the kitchen: combine different flavors, swap ingredients, and step outside of your comfort zone once in awhile.

ACCESSIBILITY.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. My plant based journey began by making versions of dishes I was already familiar with. I always say “make the foods you love just swap out the ingredients” [with ones made from plants]. Choose better quality options that work for you and your family. Start with the basics. You can do this!

INCLUSIVITY.

There’s something for everyone, whether you are swapping out plant-based meals a few times a week for health reasons, to adopting a full time plant-forward diet, or going all in on an ethical vegan lifestyle. I say let’s start with YOU. I truly believe that whatever your “why” is, no matter what journey you’re on, it’s all leading us to the same place as a collective.
